Walking to Annapolis Royal…Part V

Wharf Road, Round Hill to Round Hill Road

DSCN5949-cropped v1

A cool July makes for great walking, so we continue along the abandoned rail bed on our way to Annapolis Royal, section by section.  Yesterday evening we walked a very short leg on our trip to Annapolis Royal.  Both ends are easily accessible from good public roads.  We began at the Wharf Road end.  There’s not much sign of the wharf these days, but it is used as a crossing for snow mobiles in the winter, and for fishing in the summer.

The trail crosses the Round Hill Brook and meets it again at the the Round Hill Road which has a good sturdy bridge.
