Antigonish Landing

Sunday morning, I had the opportunity to walk the Landing.  The trail there is quite lovely. It skirts a part of one arm of the interior of Antigonish Harbour.  It has been closed to vehicular traffic, which makes for pleasant walking indeed.  The trail is short and flat.   We passed joggers, walkers, families and dog walkers all moving along at their own pace.  While I suspect that most people park at one end and walk to and from their cars, the ambitious can acutally complete a loop by following the paved road (route 337) for a circular walk/run.  This map clearly shows the trail and parking.   The map doesn’t show the newest housing development between the Landing trail and the road.  Following this new street will avoid the faster highway traffic and provide great views over the marsh and harbour.

Some excellent photos of the Landing are located in picasa and flickr. Enjoy.
